You can find the page here: Special with Scraps

If you don't have Facebook or can't get on to it, please let me know and I will see if I can publish it somewhere like Pinterest.

Hope you continue to enjoy my ramblings!

Dear Mr Blog.....please forgive my extended absence.....the Mitchell/Cannar household has been a very busy one!

November brought a brand new arrival....Madison Emilia-Rose, another gorgeous grandchild. She is a contented little cherub, but the calm was shattered for a week or so when she developed Bronchiolitis and had to spend some time in hospital with mummy :( All is well now, mummy and baby are fine......and we can breath a sigh of relief :)

Another wee worrying episode....we lost the dogs for an entire, frantically searching day.....they had managed to get themselves stuck in the garden of an empty house and it wasn't until neighbours went to investigate their barking (7 hours and a zilion missing posters, later!) that we finally received a phone call and were reunited :) Thank goodness they were wearing name and phone number tags! Phew!

Hannah is absolutely loving Uni life, her halls and her flat mates but has spent the last month or so in a constant state of indecision and poor health as she's come to realise the course she has chosen is so very wrong for her :( She is now at the stage of planning her withdrawal to minimise the financial impact and maximise her future career prospects.

On top of all that, my work has been challenging but enjoyable, taking a fair amount of time and energy and, of course, that wonderful time of the year is just around the corner with all the extra hours of planning and preparation it takes......just love it, though, and I do believe I now have Christmas all wrapped up :))

All the above have taken their toll on my time (and emotions) and my ability to focus on the house but the work has gone on, thanks to my lovely, hard working Michael, but I'm still not able to post pictures on here, sorry.....

Mike has almost finished our back room/kitchen; it is now wallpapered and painted with coving, ceiling rose and skirting. The fridge is now in a handmade unit with storage cupboard behind and Mike's final project before the big Christmas tidy up, is a tall plate cupboard that will turn our ornate sideboard into our version of a French dresser, once I have chalk painted the entire thing. This will give us a wonderful amount of storage so I should be able to unpack the last kitchen boxes in the New Year! I'm wondering what we have gone without for the last sixteen months and whether we really need the stuff, now! It will be exciting finding out :))

We have had a change of plan over the conservatory and have reverted back to our original idea as the quote was a silly amount and we really couldn't justify it. Our original plan will work better for us, anyway, as it will give us three separate spaces: a smaller conservatory on the back of the dining room, a utility/shower/dog room on the side of the kitchen which will still connect the sheds (my craft room) to the house and a patio area between the two without the need to dig out the garden ......t'will be just as fab-u-lous, darling!
This is all still dependent on the sale of Mike's flat which is under offer as I type but we are not holding our breath.....the sale fell through about this time last year and the chain has already broken on this sale; 10 days before exchange of contract!! Ggrrrrr!! Patience is a virtue, as me dear old Da always told me.......

I have filled my thinking times (early hours and late nights seem the best time to put the world to rights and hand it all to God) with knitting and revamping car boot finds for Christmas....I would love to show you! My latest pondering involves starting a Facebook page so that I can continue this blog with photos......your opinions would be valued (Suse, I know what yours is and I know you'd love to see some pics!)

So, that's all for now, folks.....I'll get back to adding the final touches to the advent candle box we've made as we need to light the first candle of Hope, today..........
Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

Happy advent to you all! xxxxxxxxx

Hi blog :)

We had our builder round over the weekend to talk about conservatories and workshops....whoopity whoop whoop!

He's talking about Jan for work, if price is right :)

Mike has decided on a log cabin for his workshop, so will do that himself and hopefully soon, as his old shed is leaking quite badly and winter is coming!

We are waiting for a quote then plans back from Dean the builder. We will need planning permission as the conservatory will be wider than the house and join onto our sheds, so the outside party loo will become an inside party loo :))

We've also asked Dean to dig the garden out in front of the conservatory and build a retaining wall. This will become an eating/patio area.........fab-u-lous, darling! (def watching roo much Strictly!)

And all this could be done before next Easter....Yay! Egg hunt at ours, then :D

We also have a beautifully smooth white painted lounge ceiling with a pretty ceiling rose in the middle :)

Back soon, with pics, when I can xxx

Plastered again!

Hi Blog

Not a lot to report.....after a lovely weekend with Mike's sister Liz and her partner Chris (spent pottering around antique shops, car booting and dog walking), we have had the plasterer back today and so we now have smooth kitchen walls ready for paper and a de-artexed lounge ceiling! Woooo! Looking good :)

Once the plaster is dry, we will be papering, painting and tiling along the back of the work surface.....then it will be time to look at fitting a log burner :))) It may even be in in time for Christmas! :D

Bye for now xxx

Patchwork trellis! :)

Gosh....Ali Pali will be shocked.....posting again already! :)) But it is only a quicky.....

In between rain showers, today, Mike has put some trellis up in the garden....

It will mean we can sit at the end of the garden and watch the sunsets without being overlooked by the neighbours :)

And it divides the garden up a little, helping to make different areas or 'rooms' as they like to call them on all the gardening programs! T'will be bloomin' loverly covered in some sort of flowering something...not sure what yet :)

While Mike has been working his little socks off, I have been resting my silly back. When Sal and Caroline came to visit, I found a load of knitted patchwork squares in a charity shop and thought they would make a lovely blanket so I bought them and they have sat in their bag ever since! Today was the day I got them out and sorted them.....this is the pattern half of them made, there are more to go around the edge once these are sewn together. Then I will crochet a border and 'hey presto' a blankie for the winter :))

Back to my sewing now!
See you soon xxx

The Story of our Kitchen so far.....in Pictures :)
I think I have them in the correct order!

worktops in mid oil!

Loverly Larder!

Start of the tiling

Scardy dogs! Not sure if they can walk on the new tiles!

This little light fitting will go in the dining room, once it has had a wee tart up!

Mike's sister, Liz and her partner, Chris are parking their Motorhome on our drive next Wednesday for a few days catch up......really looking forward to it but won't be getting much decorating done!

A week Tuesday, the plasterer is back to finish the kitchen walls and smooth the lounge ceiling. No doubt there will be a heap of mess again! Shocking! ;) But once he's done and the plaster is dry then we will have edgings, coving, lining paper, paint, wallpaper and wall tiles to fit, hang and spread. Unsure what to do for window dressings......

Mike's flat is under offer and the sale appears to be going smoothly.....completion could be within 6 weeks! We will have work to do over there; furniture/sheds/garage to clear....hopefully the kitchen will be finished before then......bar the fireplace and solid fuel burner!

We have had a fab weekend! We have celebrated 4 birthdays and driven down to see Hannah.....Mike has done most of the driving and hard work as I have had a stupidly painful back :(

Now I am able to post pictures on here again, I will try to keep up with what's going on :)

It must be bed time....very tired..should sleep well after such a busy weekend!

Diary notes published from my phone :)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

22.8.12
John, the plasterer, plastered today. We only found him yesterday and he has done a fab job today! Will be back tomorrow and Friday to finish the fiddly bits. Mike has just about got all the units ready for fitting and I have been testing paints on the doors. Very heavy oak worktops arrived today and dishwasher (shhh...girls don't know!) arrives tomorrow. Lots of work to come but going to look great in no time :))

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

23.8.12
What a busy, busy day! Eleven doors and four drawer fronts are painted and will be distressed before bed (but not as much as me!) The plasterer has plastered more walls and will be back tomorrow to finish. The dishwasher has arrived and is safely tucked up in Mike's shed out of sight from the girls who firmly believe we are the meanest of mean and are not putting one in :) And.....dah dah ddaaahhhh! We've ordered the range cooker! Yay upon yayzers!! Cannot wait to get cooking :)))

Mike has had the big guns out chasing walls for wires and drilling holes for taps, amongst other things....(he's well into this plumbing mallarky now!) He's spent a lot of time contacting trades and trying to plan fitting the kitchen around builders, plasterers, electricians and worktop fitters (we have a solid oak worktop going in that is soooo heavy Mike will need someone to help with the fitting)

The house is in complete uproar again and will be for the next couple of weeks :(( But it will be worth it :))

24.8.12
Woodworm is worse than we thought..mike looking at replacing the whole dining room floor :(( Cooker coming wednesday..sparky coming thursday....sink being taken out tomorrow...probs no kitchen for a couple of weeks. Floor needs to be sorted before island units can be fitted. Oh joy! Doors and drawers have had first coat of wax and plasterer has finished....looks lovely! :))

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

25.8.12
Been a tough day, I won't lie......

Much debate over floorboards, decision now made and they will be delivered Tues. Kris turned up with his trusty tool kit and helped Mike remove the sink and start the cabinet fitting...didn't get far; drain and gas pipe in the way behind the old sink unit! But we have yet another plan, it will be sorted. Mike re-plumbed the outside tap so we have somewhere to fill the kettle..most important :) And it rained and rained; most units and all painted doors, inside and dry now. Bodies and brains aching, we will sleep like logs....

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

26.8.12
Today has been a better day...what a difference a bit of sunshine makes :)

We have been counting our blessings as we dried everything out! 3 wash loads done and dried AND the first kitchen cupboard fitted, fixed, on the wall and filled with mugs! Second coat of wax on half the doors....no room to lay the rest out so will do them once these are dry and polished. Slight problem with the dishwasher....can't make it work! Just a little inconvenient as we now don't have a sink! Ah well, camping bowl under the marque it is then....will just imagine we are holidaying in the south of France :D We're feeling more sorted and way less stressed. Glass of wine, telly, bed and we'll be ready for another day.....car boots tomorrow for a bit of light relief :)))

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

27.8.12
This morning, we took time out to wander around Moss End car boot and garden centre....managed to miss the rain and pick up some bargains (thank you Sandra and Claudia!) including a couple of shrubs and perennials for the garden...end of season stuff...always the best way to buy as they were cheap and will look fab next year :))

This afternoon, Mike has cleaned and scrubbed and made sure the freezer and dishwasher that came with our second hand kitchen are working well before he ebays them! And he has prepared the door for what will be our larder...looks brill :) I have been waxing and painting and planting..... Now, microwave meal and alcohol whilst watching the pipes and drums to finish off the day... phew... :))

Wondering whether to add a bit of colour to the glass in the door in the pic....watcha reckon??

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

28.8.12
No dishwasher until next bleepin' Tuesday!!! Ggrrrrrr....it isn't working; baumatic have to send an engineer out; can't get one here until next Tuesday; if he deems it faulty, then....and only then...will it be replaced. Until then, we continue with the hose, camping bowl and kettle in the marquee :/

On a more positive note, Mike has fitted the door for the larder....just waiting for a top coat and a latch.....then new shelves inside, see the back of the builders and mess...and I can fill it :D

And...another positive note...Ali Pally has visited for a look round, to play with the dogs and sit in the garden for a chat...lovely! Thank you for our Tit boxes! We will find a place in one of our bushes for them to nestle and await the results next spring :))

Our floorboard delivery never materialised.....another ggrrrr...more phone calls tomorrow!

Now, it must be nearly time for bed. :))

29.8.12
Builders..windows...floorboards....cooker....all arrived today, at about the same time! Add to that inquisitive dogs and rain and, hey presto! Mayhem!! :))

Mike hid in the lounge for most of the day with the dogs and his laptop and I escaped to Festival Place with Steph for a spot of retail therapy :D

We now have a cute little kitchen window where the door used to be and a new window in our shower so, once that area is tiled, the bathroom will be completed! Yay! :)))

Tomorrow, we are off to the big smoke to see Stomp and leaving Steph in charge of builders...is that wise? I'm sure it is! We should come home to another new kitchen window and a back door (in a different place) Then upwards and onwards towards a new kichen! Looking forward to that :)))

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

30.8.12
Up early to manouvre and cover as much of the kitchen as we could before Dean and Charlie arrived to crash about the place, knocking walls down and taking windows out.

Escaped to Stomp...hope to come home to new door and gas pipes removed.....thanks a bundle, Steph, for staying home and taking care of everything. It's been such a treat to escape!

Now..sitting five rows from the front waiting for the show to begin......

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

31.8.12
Notes from today.....new door is great, new cooker arrived ('tis loverly!) Sparky came to wire it in, finish sockets and put downlighters in the kitchen. Mike painted the ceiling. Caroline came to visit and brought Japonese Anemone roots...thank you Caroline :))

Most of the trades have been paid, rest will be sorted next week....

We are looking forward to getting on with the kitchen at our own pace....just the worktop fitter to call in when we're ready for him.

Now taxi service and bed. :)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2.10.12
Lovely new sink, trying out it's new position :))

Mike has spent a long, long time, today, sorting out the plumbing for the sink and dishwasher and rejigging the cabinets so that it will fit!

Yesterday, I planted Caroline's Anemones and Izzy and Harry helped Mike to hang Ali's Tit baskets :)) We are all now excitedly awaiting flowers and inhabitants!

Back to work tomorrow.....I will enjoy coming home each day to discover what Mike's been working on! Pictures will follow :)

View 1346610244510.jpg in slide show

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3.10.12
Came home from first day back at work to find three cabinets fitted, the back room cleared ready for woodworm offensive, a parcel addressed to me and Mike had worked his magic on the dishwasher........it's working! Yay!!

The parcel turned out to be our new whistling kettle; the picture is of the view of the room as we come in the back door......it's coming together nicely :)))

View 1346701317815.jpg in slide show

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4.10.12
Came home tonight to half a floor missing and a very tired man.....those floorboards took some getting up! The wood that is left has been anti-woodworm coated. We will be up early tomorrow to go to Wickes for stain/varnish and joist supports as the little blighters have chewed through some of the original joists! May see some new flooring down tomorrow :))

15.10.12
Just hugged Hannah byebye in Bournemouth....Uni life calls! Now, back to kitchen updates :))

Found this on my phone this morning.....my intentions were good! :))

PS this is the pile of woodworm infested floorboards waiting for bonfire night.....should be a good one!!

I will be back with more and pics later today (Ali).....promise! :D

Bye for now!

Sooo, bloggy, it's been a very, very long time but, since I'm laid up with the worst back I've had in a very long time, there's not a lot else I can do bar one finger type on my phone! (And be a passenger on the ride down to see Hannah, later...can't wait!)

Not sure how far we'd got.......I'll start with woodworm infested floors....in pictures! :)

The mammoth task begins...

First few of the gorgeous new boards..looking good :)

Staining started...

On the last run!

Almost there!!

Woodworm infested boards

Ready for bonfire night!! :D

And another month wizzes by......

6th August

Can anyone else believe it's AUGUST, already!!!???!! And 6 days in, to boot! Ok, so....apologies to Alison, I'm really not keeping up with this blog as well as I should do and certainly not as well as she would do! :) BUT we have planned a visit, Ali Pali is coming to see our house for the first time after nearly a year of blog reading and encouraging comments...can't wait to show her around. It'll be posh china and cup cakes for coffee break, that day! :)

I will bullet point again...still need to sort out the picture prob :(

  • Sparky is booked for next week to finish the wiring in the house and sign off the new consumer board
  • Builder is booked for week of 20th August to move the back door
  • New kitchen is still being stored by the lovely chap who sold it to us (Mike has managed to sell the cooker that came with it, so it's actually cost us almost nothing!!)
  • The kitchen ceiling is lagged and ready for plaster boarding once the electrics are finished
  • Mike has done some plumbing for the first time and found it reasonably easy! He has moved the washing machine into the out house and rejigged the pipe work for the sink so that it's almost clear for the door to be moved in the kitchen (he's now planning other projects with his plumbing hat on!!)
  • The bannister rail is stripped and finished and looking very good.
  • We've had a lovely wet and dry BBQ to celebrate my birthday and Steph's graduation.....clever girl got a 1ST CLASS HONOURS DEGREE IN GRAPHIC DESIGN!! WOOOHOOOO....YOU GO GIRL! :)  There was such a panic 3 days before the barbie; Mike went to put the marquee up at the back of the house instead of up the garden, where it was last year, and found it was a metre too wide and 2 metres too long! Eeeeekkk! Turned out ok though....we found a smaller one in Homebase that wasn't so heavy duty but a lot cheaper and fitted perfectly; Mike then managed to sell our old one so we weren't our of pocket..and all before the party!
  • My baby girl turns 18 next Sunday so we have a big party planned for her and countless friends.....should be fun!
  • My old school friend, Sally and her friend Caroline have been to visit for the first time.....just love to show people around and share good times :))))
  • Deb has been for quite a few visits, her camper is gone from the drive now and back in London with her...makes the garden look so much bigger without it there but means she will have to bring it if she wants to stay again......we'll see how that works.

Reading back over all those bullet points, it seems like we have achieved so much again but it's actually been quite a frustrating time; there has been so much waiting for quotes and tradesmen to get back to us....and there still is waiting to do.....waiting for sparkies, builders and Mike's flat to sell...I guess we both get a little impatient when we are ready to get on and do things and the people we need to help can't fit us in for a few weeks. And it's even more frustrating as I'm on school hols and have time to help! :( But, hey, they do fit us in and it always all works out in the end :D  Another good point, I now have someone working with me in the Family centre so will, very soon, be able to drop my hours back down to the 15 that I am supposed to work! Yay!

11th August.....and I still haven't posted this!

Hello again Bloggy....well, news is: the sparky has been and gone but still can't sign the consumer board off as he has to come back and finish the kitchen once we have fitted it and we have some very dodgy outside wiring that trips the fuse switches every time it's used! That will have to be sorted as well and THEN the consumer board will be signed off (we hope!)

Mike is, as we speak, screwing plasterboard to the kitchen ceiling; I have done my wifely duty by standing on the draining board with one end of the plasterboard balanced on my head whilst Mike fixed the other end.....waiting to be called for the next piece! Such a shame I don't have a picture of that!!! Hahaha!!

I have been spending many happy hours researching range cookers....still not properly decided but narrowed it down a little. Just not sure we can find one with an oven big enough to fit my very favourite cast iron cooking pan in :(( Well, not one that will fit the kitchen, look at least a little countryfied and be within our budget.....

9:30pm......we have eaten, walked the dogs, watched the Olympics and admired our kitchen ceiling......WE HAVE A KITCHEN CEILING! WOOOHOOOO!! We have struggled and heaved plasterboard into place (you wouldn't believe how heavy it is!) We've jigged and rejigged, taken up floor boards to get in from above (I very nearly got my arm stuck between the boards trying to reach the tiny bit of plasterboard that was playing up!) Now, no more dust and dirt and bits of lagging descending upon us! Only a week or four behind schedule but it's done...very, very achy, happy puppies, here :D

Tomorrow, we celebrate Hannah's 18th Birthday....more excitement! In between presents, meals and clubbing (Hannah, not us!) we have the Dean the builder coming to take the final measurements for the windows and new door in the kitchen so they can be ordered and work commence the week after next :))

That's all for now Blog....I will aim to be back on 19th August, the first anniversary of moving into our lovely home :D

Take care everyone xxx

Sunday, 8 July 2012

What a busy few days!

Well! Phew! And Golly Gosh! What a lot we've done! :))

I have yet to resolve to photo issue.......so I will bullet point then, hopefully, add pics once it's sorted :))

  • Mike has nearly finished sanding and varnishing the bannister.....it has been stripped of it's multi-layered paint job and is now a rich, warm shade of oak: just one more sand down and one more coat of varnish and it will be GORGEOUS!!
  • I have taken the very dark, stained and faded covers from the steamer chair cushions and recovered the foam in a bright, summer garden fabric...sooooo much better! Also made a lovely bright tablecloth for the outside table :)
  • Mike has fitted the kitchen extractor fan in a casing he made so that it will hang next to the ceiling beam over the cooker island, once it's fitted.

  • He's also fitted all the joists in the kitchen so, as soon as sparky has connected the fan and the plumber has moved yet another pipe, Mike will be able to plaster board it and call the plasterer out...Yaysers! :))
  • Builders have been out to check out moving the back door....we await their quotes with bated breath......if it's within our budget, they say they could do it over a weekend very soon; this will mean the electrician can finish  downstairs sockets and sign the consumer board off so we will be al done with rewiring the inside of the house! Just a tad excited to get this done ...... :)
  • I have blitzed Hannah's room while she's been away...looks like new! :))
  • We are waiting to hear from Alan the sparky re the kitchen fan and his son the plumber re the moving of the pipe.....Monday tomorrow, so should hear something! If not, we have other numbers! :)
  • In between the torrential downpours, Mike has weeded and tidied most of the front garden as his daughter and her husband (Tracey and Keith) are visiting next week end......it will be the first time they've seen the house, so want to make a good impression (sure they will love it, anyway...and just cannot wait for a jolly good catch up! Wine at the ready!)
  • AND the best bit of news of all.......I found a used solid oak kitchen on Gumtree, 5 mins drive from here. Went to look at it today and it is perfect, it will fit with units to spare, will look brill painted cream, comes with appliances, the guy said he can store it for a few weeks until we're ready and....best of all.....he wanted £200 for it! Yay indeedy! This will mean we should be able to afford the lovely range cooker that I have found...... :D So, Mike will go and help remove it next week and the chap said he will help to deliver a couple of weeks after......and I am soooooo excited for the kitchen to be coming together!! Woooohoooooo!!!

Right, Bloggy, I think that is about it for now....

Back soon xxxxx

Tuesday, 3 July 2012

Oh dear, Bloggyblog :(

It seems I still can't add pictures, I will have to look into this further but for now I will type a pictureless blog.......maybe you will all have to come and visit to see what's been going on! :))

Ok.....Steph, Hannah and me have been carbooting; selling, that is, to help the girls raise money for their holidays (but I couldn't resist a few purchases! A large, gorgeously ornate frame, a quirky shaped watering can, a heavy iron and wood coat hook hanger from the pier, a wooden love sign, some china plates and a brass chestnut roaster....all for the magnificent sum of £6!! Can't beat a bargain!)

And from those china plates and some that I already had, Mike has made a vintage looking three tier cake stand! It looks positively lovely! It's very difficult to drill the holes in the plates (we did lose one) but practise will make perfect :)

I have finished one long piece of bunting ready for the summer parties. There's enough triangles made for another two strings but work has taken over...soooooo busy! And there are so many other things to do here; curtains for our bedroom and lounge ones to alter, covers for the garden loungers, gardening (we wish the rain would stop!) planning and cooking and cleaning and dog walking and sleeping (when my mind lets me...buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz, buzzzzzzzz) to name but a few..........

Mike borrowed Harley's hedge trimmer and attacked the hedges, only got as far as the longest, highest back garden hedge before rain stopped play and Harley needed his tool back.......we think we will have to invest in one as we have sooooo many hedges to trim!

Mike has also laid some flags and levelled the ground under our metal arch seat. He's dug around the edges and we've moved some plants around. Once they are established it will look very nice indeey (the rain is helping....haven't had to water anything in while it takes root!)

We have had the electrician in to finish the downstairs lighting and fit a new consumer board, now waiting for quotes to move the back door so we can start on the kitchen and sparky can come back and fit all the downstairs sockets.....then inside electrics and plumbing will be done, the kitchen ceiling can go up and the plasterer can finish off..... YAY!!!

We will still have the kitchen to fit and a whole lot of decorating to do, but that's the fun bit :))

Mike has managed to find an ex display extractor for the kitchen at a knock down price, this will have to be fitted when he plasterboards the ceiling so that the plasterer can include it as it will just come down from the ceiling above the cooker island...gosh, this would be easier to explain with pictures! Hope I'm not boring you!

A plumber has given us an extortionate quote to have the outside loo fixed, this is because we actually want to turn it into a shower room, in the future, and so need more plumbing out there...but it's not worth a temporary fix unless Kris can do something (keeping fingers crossed) so that it can be used at summer BBQs :)

There is still little interest in the flat, quite a few people have been to view but the housing market is flat and those that are interested still have properties to sell. Two more viewings planned for this weekend, so we'll have to wait and see.......

We are still very much enjoying the bathroom and having changes of mind over conservatories and workshops......you will have to watch this space to see what we end up with :) Really hope I will be able to post pictures by then!

Other news: Steph learnt today that she has achieved a FIRST CLASS HONOURS DEGREE! Very, very proud of her. Hannah is enjoying a week in Kavos, taking her mind off waiting for A level results and I now have a colleague to work alongside in the Family Centre; sharing the load will sure help my work/life balance!

Oh...one last thing....our new Suntan apple tree grew a solitary apple, but I had to pick it off as it needs to put its strength into roots and branches and not fruit....very sad to remove it; I'm sure it would have been tasty! The slugs have eaten most of my Gourd seedlings and something nicked all the redcurrants before I got the netting on...grrrrrrr....just not cut out to be checking the garden everyday! Well, maybe I would if the sun was shining ;)

Well....I've rattled on enough, sure I must have bored you to tears....but I enjoyed getting it all out and onto paper, so to speak :))

Take care, Y'all

Back soon :)
